The facility is a fantastic, substantially intact 1850’s Greek Revival building that spent 112 years serving as the oldest library in Orleans County. The exterior is a snapshot from 1899 when the facility was changed from private residence to public library. The interior has a paneled grand staircase, stained leaded glass windows, and doors that are ten feet tall. All except one of the original fireplaces are still in place.

The building is fully accessible with an elevator serving all levels.

Classes are held in the former reading room with spaces illuminated by century-old electric fixtures.

Inspector Central is located in Albion, NY, roughly midway between Rochester and Buffalo. Lodging, Batavia Downs horse racing and casino, great restaurants and the NY State Thruway are all available nearby.

Chad Fabry is the lead instructor at Inspector Central. Fabry has been a home inspector for over 15 years. He’s been involved in just about everything related to home inspections from conventional real estate transaction inspections, disaster inspections for FEMA evaluations, litigation support, expert witness work, municipal code enforcement, HI education, diagnostic and forensic investigation, photovoltaic inspections and more. Chad’s business focus these days rests with identifying construction defects in preparation for litigation and inspecting historic buildings.

Fabry taught previously for Kaplan ITA and helped countless dozens achieve success entering the home inspection field. The Journal of Light Construction Online trusts Chad to watch over the Building Science portion of their forums and Chad is also an editor for The Inspector’s Journal

Fabry is connected to the best minds in the business and Inspector Central will announce future guest instructors as courses are approved by NY State.

In his off-time, Fabry is an old building enthusiast and part-time blueberry farmer.
